경북지역에서 화물연대는 이날 오전 10시 포항과 구미에서 1,200명이 참석한 집회를 가지고 무기한 전면파업에 돌입했다.
경북경찰청은 화물연대가 경주, 포항, 구미, 칠곡 등 주요 사업장 주변에서 비조합원 차량 운송방해, 차로 점거, 기사 폭행, 차량 손괴 등 불법행위 가능성을 배제할 수 없다고 보고 있다.
이에 경북경찰청은 이번 화물연대 총파업과 관련해 전 경찰관기동대와 경비, 정보, 수사, 교통, 지역경찰 등 가용경찰력을 포항, 구미 등 주요 물류거점지역에 배치했다.
특히 경북경찰청은 불법행위 발생 시 현장검거를 원칙으로 하고 주동자는 끝까지 추적해 사법조치 할 방침이다.
차량을 이용한 불법행위에 대해서는 사법처리와 함께 법령에 따라 운전면허 정지·취소 등 행정처분도 적극 활용할 계획이다.
