봉화군은 오는 7월 30일부터 8월 7일까지 9일간 봉화읍 내성천 일원과 신구시장에서 ‘봉화에서 COOL하게! 은어로 FUN하게!’라는 주제로 ‘제 24회 봉화은어축제’를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

봉화은어축제는 2019년까지 문화체육관광부 지정 5년 연속 우수축제로 선정될 정도로 봉화와 경북을 대표하는 축제로 거듭났다. 지난 2020년엔 ‘대한민국 축제 콘텐츠 대상’에서 축제관광부문 대상, 2021년엔 비대면 축제 대상을 수상하는 등 매년 50여만 명이 찾고 있는 대한민국을 대표하는 한여름 축제로 등극했다.

올해는 3년 만에 대면 축제로 개최되는 만큼, 봉화군은 포스트코로나 시대에 따른 축제관광 트렌드에 맞춰 내성천의 깨끗하고 시원한 물에서 은어와 함께 무더위를 시원하게 날려 버릴 수 있는 다양한 프로그램들을 준비했다고 밝혔다.

그동안의 축제에서 가장 인기가 많았던 은어 반두･맨손잡이 체험, 은어 먹거리 장터 등 행사체험 프로그램은 올해도 이어진다. 또, 눈과 귀를 즐겁게 해줄 풍성한 음악 공연과 아이들이 좋아하는 샌드아트 모래 놀이장 및 물놀이장까지 전 연령층이 함께 즐길 수 있는 각종 프로그램이 여름 휴가철 관광객을 맞이할 예정이다.

최고 인기 행사체험 프로그램 “은어와 더위잡기” 

봉화은어축제의 핵심 콘텐츠인 은어 반두.맨손잡이 프로그램은 축제 기간 동안 매일 진행된다. 반두잡이는 주중 3회, 주말 4회, 맨손잡이는 주중 4회 주말 5회로 운영되며, 입장료는 1만 원이다.

봉화 최고의 은어잡이를 뽑는 제3회 문화체육관광부 장관배 어신(魚神)선발대회도 8월 6일 오후 4시 내성천 반두잡이 체험장에서 개최된다. 300명 한정 신청자를 사전 접수(참가비 2만 원) 받아 제한된 시간동안 반두로 가장 많은 은어를 잡은 어신 1, 2, 3등을 선발해 상과 상금을 수여한다. 

축제 속의 야시장은 8월 2일과 3일 양일간 내성천 특설무대를 중심으로 열리며 저녁 시간 무더위를 날려줄 시원한 음료와 봉화에서만 맛볼 수 있는 송이빵과 같은 별미들이 판매될 예정이다.

봉화군의 주요 관광지를 둘러보는 문화유적 탐방투어 버스는 축제기간 동안 오전과 오후 각 1회 운영된다. 문화관광해설사의 고품격 해설을 들으며 분천산타마을, 국립백두대간수목원, 생태예술제(문수골 가재마을)를 탐방할 수 있다. 

은어축제기간 동안 다채로운 연계.부대행사도 함께 진행될 예정이다. 코로나19 여파로 2년간 온라인으로 개최됐던 한여름 분천산타마을이 올해는 7월 23일 개장식을 시작으로 8월 21일까지 30일간 운영된다. 

‘여름’이라는 콘셉트에 맞게 무더위를 시원하게 날려 줄 트리전망대 물총대전 등 주말 이벤트와 이색 거리 공연, 분천 산타 마을 캐릭터들과 즐기는 마칭밴드 퍼레이드 등 다양한 특별 공연을 선보일 예정이다. 또한 ‘도착! 미션 드림팀’, ‘찐 산타를 찾아라’ 등 게릴라성 현장 미니게임 이벤트도 열린다.

기차여행을 통해 잠깐의 휴식과 충전의 시간을 갖고 싶다면 백두대간 협곡열차(V-train)을 이용해보는 것도 추천한다. 코레일 관광열차 V-트레인은 내부가 통유리로 된 개방형 열차로 분천역에서 철암역 사이의 백두대간 협곡을 시원하게 감상할 수 있다. 열차는 1일 2회 운영되며 예매는 코레일 앱과 현장에서 가능하다. 

또한 봉화은어축제에 뜨거운 열기를 전해줄 전국여자 프로볼링대회가 은어축제 사전홍보 기간인 7월 26일부터 29일까지 4일간 봉화군 국민체육센터 볼링경기장에서 열린다. 여자부 개인전과 단체전이 펼쳐지며 결승전은 SBS Sports를 통해 생방송 될 예정이다.

2022 생태예술제는 8월 6일과 7일 이틀간 문수골 가재마을에서 열린다. 가재 잡기 체험, 문화예술 공연, 예술인의 밤이 개최되며 은어축제 행사장에서 투어버스를 연계 운영한다.

한여름 무더위는 가라~~ 다채로운 공연 프로그램

봉화은어축제의 화려한 시작을 알리는 개막식 공연은 7월 30일 오후 7시 30분 특설무대에서 개최되며 봉화 출신 가수 최우진과 인기가수 김혜연, 유승우 등이 출연해 축제 분위기를 한껏 고조시킬 예정이다. 

이밖에도 은어축제 기간 동안 장민호, 이찬원, 임찬이 함께 하는 미스터트롯 콘서트와 인기 록밴드 국카스텐이 꾸미는 ROCK 콘서트 등 다양한 주제의 공연들이 매일 펼쳐진다. 

8월 7일 폐막식 공연에는 정동원, 오유진, 남승민, 김연자가 출연해 축제의 마지막 무대를 꾸미며 이어 진행되는 폐막 드론쇼와 불꽃쇼를 끝으로 봉화은어축제 마지막을 수놓을 계획이다. 

특히 봉화군은 코로나19의 장기 확산의 어려움을 극복하기 위해 축제기간 중 특별 방역대책을 추진할 예정이며, 코로나19 재유행 우려 및 감염확산을 차단하기 위해 축제장 내 다중이용시설은 수시로 소독하고 일 2회 축제장 내 현장방역과 소독제 비치, 마스크 착용 등 관광객들이 방역수칙을 철저히 준수할 수 있도록 홍보할 계획이다. 

박현국 봉화군수(봉화축제관광재단 이사장)는 “3년 만에 대면으로 개최되는 은어축제인 만큼 즐겁고 유익한 다양한 콘텐츠를 많이 준비했다.”며 “예전처럼 봉화은어축제장에 많은 분들이 찾아오셔서 추억과 재미, 감동과 기쁨을 모두 찾아가시기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.
