【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자= 울진군선거관리위원회는 지난 6.1 지방선거에서 사용한 선거비용을 허위로 보고한 후보자와 회계 책임자 등을 검찰에 고발했다.
선관위에 따르면 이들은 지난 6월1일 실시한 울진군의회의원선거에서 공개장소 연설·대담차량 기사인부임 등 총 297여만 원의 선거비용을 허위로 보전 청구한 것으로 드러났다. 선관위는 회계 보고한 회계책임자 A와 이를 공모한 후보자 B씨, 그리고 그외 1명 등 총 3명을 16일 대구지방검찰청 영덕지청에 고발했다고 밝혔다.
선관위는 “정치자금법 제49조제1항은 선거비용을 허위로 회계 보고한 자를 5년 이하의 징역 또는 2천만 원 이하의 벌금에, 같은 조 제2항은 영수증 등 선거비용 증빙서류를 허위기재한 자를 2년 이하의 징역 또는 400만 원 이하의 벌금에 처하도록 규정하고 있다”며 고발 경위를 설명했다.
