중앙선관위, 제9회 지방선거 앞두고 ‘사이버선거문화 자정캠페인’ 추진
포털·커뮤니티·AI 플랫폼과 협업…허위정보·딥페이크 위법행위 예방

【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=중앙선거관리위원회는 오는 6월 3일 실시되는 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고, 유권자 중심의 건전한 온라인 선거문화 조성을 위해 2월 3일부터 ‘사이버선거문화 자정캠페인’을 추진하고 있다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 캠페인은 허위사실 유포, 비방, 딥페이크 등 사이버 공간에서의 위법행위를 사전에 차단하기 위해 마련됐다. 중앙선관위는 네이버·다음 등 주요 포털사 4곳, 디시인사이드 등 인터넷 커뮤니티 20여 곳, 뤼튼테크놀로지스 등 AI 콘텐츠 제작 및 플랫폼 운영사 30여 곳과 협업해 캠페인을 진행한다.
이에 따라 포털 뉴스 댓글창, 인터넷 커뮤니티, AI 기업 홈페이지 등에 「공직선거법」 관련 안내 자정 문구를 표출해 이용자들의 자율적인 규제를 유도하고, 위법행위를 예방할 방침이다.
또한 주요 포털사와 인터넷 커뮤니티 홈페이지에 웹배너를 게시해 위법 게시물에 대한 신고·제보를 활성화한다는 계획이다.
중앙선관위는 “이번 캠페인이 유권자의 자발적 참여와 온라인 자정 기능을 강화하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “깨끗한 사이버 선거문화 정착에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
