이를 위해 시는 농업기술센터에 방역대책 상황실을설치하고 비상 대응 체계를 가동해 관내 진출입하는 모든 축산차량이 소독할 수 있도록 거점소독시설을 24시간 운영 중에 있다.

또한 시 방역차량, 광역방제기 및 공동방제단을 동원해 방역취약지역·농장에 대한 주기적인 소독과 구제역 예방을 위해 소·염소 등 우제류 농가 일제 접종을 11월 15일까지 6주간 실시한다.

아울러 축산관련 차량의 소독과 분뇨차량 이동제한 등을 담은 행정명령 시행, 가금농장 AI 검사 주기 단축 및 이동승인서 발급 등 강도 높은 방역 조치도 시행한다.

최기문 영천시장은 “농장주는 방역수칙을 철저히 준수하는 것은 물론 의심 증상이 발견되면 즉시 방역상황실로 신고하고,시민들께서도 철새도래지 방문, 아프리카돼지열병(ASF) 검출지역 입산 등을 자제해 주실 것”을 당부했다.
