이날 인선의 특징이라면 검사 출신 등용과 이준석 계 인사 배제 의혹이다. 김경진 전 의원을 제외하고는 이번 인선안에 포함된 대다수 검찰 출신들은 정치 경험이 사실상 그리 많지 않다. 지역 정치권 관계자는 “윤석열 대통령이 현 국민의힘 의원들에 큰 믿음이 없는 것 같은 인상을 많이 노출시킨다”며 “결국 윤 대통령이 차기 총선에서 검찰 출신들을 대거 정치 입문시킬 것이란 시나리오가 돌았는데, 이날 인선은 그같은 시니리오에 어느 정도 보를 맞추려 하는 느낌”이라고 말했다. 

이날 발표하지 않은 나머지 26곳에 대해서도 당연히 눈길이 쏠리고 있다. 이곳에 검찰 출신 인사를 포함해 정도에 따라 이같은 시나리오의 현실화 가능성도 구체적으로 회자될 전망이다. 

한편, 국민의힘 조직위원장은 사실상의 당협위원장으로, 선거 공천시에도 가장 유리한 위치에 있게 된다.
