【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도 소방본부가 지난해 12만 800여건, 하루 평균 331건의 의료정보제공 및 응급처치 상담실적을 기록해 하루 평균 331건으로 서울, 경기 북부, 부산에 이어 전국 네 번째 상담실적을 기록한 것으로 밝혀졌다.

5일 경상북도 소방본부에 따르면 상담내용으로는 병․의원․약국 등 의료정보제공 41.2%, 응급처치 상담 33.7%, 질병상담 10.9%, 이송병원 선정 4.1%, 기타상담이 10.1%를 차지했다.

전국 상위 실적을 기록한 것은 응급의학 전문의가 직접 구급대원에게 응급처치 의료지도를 시행하고 영상소프트폰을 활용해 사고 상황을 실시간 영상을 보면서 정확한 처치법을 안내하는 등 “경북소방의 한발 앞선 응급의료상담이 도민에게 굳건한 믿음을 주어 119를 자주 찾는 이유”라고 소방관계자는 밝혔다.

지난해 말에는 응급의료기관과의 유기적인 협조체계를 점검하고 문제점 개선을 통해 코로나19 감염환자의 적극적인 병원수용으로 환자와 119구급상황관리센터의 고충을 한결 덜어주는 계기를 만들기도 했다.

이영팔 경북도 소방본부장은 “올해도 응급의료기관과의 협력 네크워크 구축 및 상담 서비스 교육 고도화를 통해 응급의료상담 체계를 더욱 강화 하겠다”며 “병․의원․약국 등 의료정보 문의뿐만 아니라 위급한 상황에서 즉각적인 도움을 받을 수 있도록 지체 없는 119 신고를 바란다”라고 당부했다.
