가수 류원정은 진량 진성초, 진량중학교를 졸업했으며 KBS 트로트 후계자 오디션 우승 후 싱글앨범‘심지’로 데뷔하여 TV조선 내일은 미스트롯2에 참가해 준결승까지 진출하는 등 인기를 끌고 있다.
경산시 홍보대사로 활동하게 된 가수 류원정은 방송인 박해상, 개그맨 김원효 등 기존 8명의 홍보대사와 함께 경산시 이미지에 걸맞은 다양한 콘텐츠 발굴과 시민들에게 꿈과 희망의 메시지를 전달하는 한편 대외적으로는 경산시 문화·관광 및 지역 농·특산품 홍보 활동 등을 펼칠 예정이다.
