【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구교통공사는 지난 15일 파나마메트로 청장 일행이 대구3호선 모노레일의 안전운행과 유지보수 노하우 등을 참관했다고 16일 밝혔다.

이번 방문단은 파나마메트로청장 엑또르 오르떼가(Hector Ortega, 49세)와 운영기술국장, 현대건설 김영호 현장소장 등 4명이다.

이들은 칠곡차량기지에서 3호선 운용상황을 통제하는 관제실과 차량의 주요부품을 분해하여 점검·시험하는 중정비 유지보수 현장을 참관했다.

이어 3호선 시승을 통해 열차운행 안전조치와 기술을 직접 체험하면서 공사의 모노레일 운영 노하우를 소개 받았다.

이번 방문은 공사가 국내 유일의 최장 모노레일 운영기관으로서 차별화된 정비기술과 운영노하우로 `21년 12월, 현대건설·포스코건설·현대엔지니어링 컨소시엄과 함께 파나마 메트로 3호선(모노레일) 건설사업에 참여하면서 이루어진 것으로 현재 파나마 현지의 건설공사는 순조롭게 진행 중이다.

이 사업에 공사는 모노레일 건설공사 설계자문, 구조물 시공과 인터페이스 검토, 시운전 노하우, 운영자 교육 등 사업전반에 대해 중요한 역할을 수행한다.

컨설팅 사업초기에는 최적의 설계 및 시공안을 공유했으며, 현재까지 대구 3호선 시공사례, 운영매뉴얼 및 공정테스트 적용사례 등 각 분야에서 컨설팅을 수행하고 있다.

특히 작년 연말부터 공사의 유휴장비인 건축한계측정차를 파나마 현지에 대여하여 수익을 창출하는 등 다양한 수익창출을 위해 노력하고 있다.

대구교통공사 김기혁 사장은“이번 파나마메트로청장의 방문을 통해 3호선 모노레일이 글로벌 시장에서 뛰어난 경쟁력을 갖추고 있음을 적극 홍보하고 향후 파나마 정부와의 파트너십을 공고히 해 모노레일 운영 및 유지관리 사업 분야에도 진출을 모색하는 등 해외사업 다각화를 추진할 예정”이라고 말했다.

Panama Metro Commissioner takes a test ride on Daegu Line 3 monorail
