【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구교통공사가 ‘안전한 도시철도 이용’홍보 캠페인과 특별안전점검을 실시했다고 24일 밝혔다.
지난 23일 청라언덕역 환승 통로와 2⋅3호선 승강장에서는 도시철도 이용 시민을 대상으로 진행된 이번 캠페인에는 공사 경영진과 직원, 산업안전보건공단, 승강기안전공단 등 60여명이 참여했다.
공사의 분석에 따르면 최근 5년간 도시철도 역사 내에서 발생한 안전사고 유형 중 에스컬레이터 사고가 전체 사고의 56%를 차지한 것으로 확인된다.
사고의 대부분이 60대 이상으로 개인 부주의에 의한 사고가 가장 많이 발생했다.
이에 따라 이번 캠페인은 승강기 안전이용에 대한 맞춤형 홍보캠페인으로 진행됐다.
이와 함께 공사는 승강기안전공단과 안전사고 예방을 위한 청라언덕역 에스컬레이터 특별점검에 나섰다.
대구교통공사 김기혁 사장은“안전사고 감소를 위해 안전수칙 홍보캠페인 강화, 사고다발역 에스컬레이터 안전요원 집중 배치, 안전지킴이 운영, 안전사고 우려가 있는 시설물을 지속적으로 개선해 나가 시민들이 안전하고 편리하게 도시철도를 이용할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다할 것”이라고 말했다.
