하기태 의원을 위원장으로, 김용문 의원을 부위원장으로 선임하며 첫 발을 뗀 예결위는 지난 16일 제2차 회의를 열고 '2024회계연도 영천시 결산 및 예비비지출 승인안', '2024회계연도 영천시 상수도사업특별회계 결산 승인안', '2024회계연도 영천시 하수도사업특별회계 결산 승인안' 등 총 3건의 안건을 원안대로 승인했다.

하기태 예산결산특별위원장은 이번 결산 승인의 의미를 강조하며 "결산 승인은 한 해 동안 영천시의 살림살이를 면밀히 점검하고 재정의 투명성과 행정의 책임성을 확보하기 위한 중요한 절차"라고 밝혔다. 

이어 "이번 결산을 통해 드러난 성과와 한계를 바탕으로 내년도 예산은 보다 합리적이고 효율적으로 편성해 시민의 삶에 실질적인 도움이 되기를 기대한다"고 덧붙였다.

예결위에서 심사를 마친 결산안은 오늘(17일) 본회의에 상정돼 최종 의결될 예정이다.

Yeongcheon City Council Budget and Settlement Special Committee (Chairman Ha Gi-tae) concluded its activities by reviewing and approving three bills, including the 2024 Fiscal Year Yeongcheon City Settlement and Reserve Fund Expenditure Approval Bill.

The Budget and Settlement Committee, which took its first step by appointing Assemblyman Ha Gi-tae as chairman and Assemblyman Kim Yong-moon as vice-chairman, held its second meeting on the 16th and approved a total of three agenda items, including the ‘2024 Fiscal Year Yeongcheon City Settlement and Reserve Fund Expenditure Approval Bill,’ ‘2024 Fiscal Year Yeongcheon City Waterworks Project Special Account Settlement Approval Bill,’ and ‘2024 Fiscal Year Yeongcheon City Sewerage Project Special Account Settlement Approval Bill,’ as originally proposed.

Ha Gi-tae, the chairman of the Budget and Settlement Special Committee, emphasized the significance of this settlement approval, saying, “Settlement approval is an important procedure to closely examine Yeongcheon City’s finances for the year and secure financial transparency and administrative accountability.”

He added, “Based on the achievements and limitations revealed through this settlement, next year’s budget will be organized more rationally and efficiently, and we hope that it will provide real help to citizens’ lives.”

The settlement bill, which has been reviewed by the Budget and Settlement Committee, will be submitted to the plenary session today (the 17th) for final approval.
