【브레이크뉴스 영천】이성현 기자=영천시의회(의장 김선태)는  2일부터 11일까지 10일간의 일정으로 제247회 임시회를 개회했다.

이날 열린 제1차 본회의에서는 안건 처리에 앞서 배수예·이갑균 의원의 5분 자유발언이 이어졌다.

배수예 의원은 영천고의 군인자녀 모집형 자율형 공립고(한민고) 선정과 관련한 문제점을 지적하며, △중앙투자심사 재검토로 인한 축소 예산 규모 우려 △영천 학생 20% 입학정원 보장 제도 필요 △영동고 학급 증설 등 대체 수요 반영을 요구했다. 그는 “영천 학생들을 위한 책임 있는 조치와 확실한 대안이 마련돼야 한다”고 강조했다.

이갑균 의원은 농기계 보조사업 개선 필요성을 제기했다. 그는 “중소형 농기계 보조사업은 지원 단가 상승으로 예산이 늘었음에도 불구하고 선정 농가 수가 줄었으며, 과실 생산 농기계 사업은 우리 시가 과수 중심임에도 예산이 오히려 감소했다”고 지적했다. 이어 △농기계 선정률 80% 이상 달성 △과수 전용 품목 확대 △고령·여성·영세농 중심 선정기준 강화 등을 제안했다.

이날 본회의에서는 △회기 결정 △2025년 제2회 추가경정예산안 심사를 위한 예산결산특별위원회 구성 결의안 등 7건의 안건이 처리됐다. 예산결산특별위원장에는 이갑균 의원이 선임됐다.

김선태 의장은 “이번 임시회에서는 시민 생활과 직결된 조례안과 제2회 추경안을 심도 있게 다룰 것”이라며 “시민 복리 증진을 위한 재원이 적재적소에 쓰일 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 제247회 임시회는 상임위원회 및 예산결산특별위원회 활동을 거쳐 오는 11일 제2차 본회의를 끝으로 폐회할 예정이다.

Chairman Kim Seon-tae stated, "In this special session, we will delve into ordinances directly related to citizens' lives and the second supplementary budget. We will do our best to ensure that resources are used appropriately to improve citizens' welfare."

Meanwhile, the 247th extraordinary session is scheduled to conclude with the second plenary session on the 11th after the activities of the standing committee and the special committee on budget and settlement.
