이번 협약은 양 기관의 상호협력을 통해 기업 경쟁력 제고와 지역 경제 발전을 도모하기 위한 것으로, 앞으로 기업지원 정책 관련 정보교류, 공동 관심사업 협력 등 다양한 지원 활동을 추진할 계획이다.

(사)중소기업융합대구경북연합회는 1993년 설립돼 약 1,300개 회원사로 구성되어 있으며, 회원사 간 협업을 통한 성장 지원과 사회공헌 활동으로 지역발전에 기여하고 있다.

배광식 북구청장은 ''북구청과 (사)중소기업융합대구경북연합회의 교류를 통해 관내 기업의 애로사항을 청취하고 기업 경쟁력 향상은 물론 지역 경제 발전을 위한 지속적인 협력관계를 구축하는 계기가 되기를 바란다''고 밝혔다.
