【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구시 3개 공사·공단(대구도시개발공사·대구교통공사·대구공공시설관리공단)은 7일 대구도시개발공사에서 대학생 어프렌티스 프로그램 ‘청춘 ON : 로컬 크리에이터’ 최종 발표회를 개최했다.

이번 행사는 지난 9월 오리엔테이션을 시작으로 약 2개월간 진행된 프로그램의 성과를 공유하고, 지역 청년들의 창의적 아이디어를 통해 지역 소멸 위기 극복과 청년 친화 도시 조성 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

최종 발표회에는 3개 기관 임직원, 대구시 정책기획관실 혁신전략팀장 등 50여 명이 참석했으며, 지역 대학생 3개 팀이 기관별 멘토와 함께 수행한 과제를 발표했다.

각 팀은 ‘지역 소멸 위기 대응’과 ‘청년 친화 도시 구현’을 목표로 실현 가능하고 창의적인 아이디어를 제시했다.

대구도시개발공사와 협업한 경북대학교 팀은 ‘지역 청년 주거 안정 강화 방안’을 주제로 △공공임대주택 잡스테이 △청년 첫보금 지원제 △전세사기 예방 교육 및 동행 지원제 △청년 원스톱 플랫폼 ‘대구 안,착!’ 등 청년 주거 정책 혁신안을 제안했다.

대구교통공사와 함께한 영남대학교 팀은 ‘모두를 잇는 대중교통 활성화 방안’을 발표하며 △통근 효율 보고서 ‘DTRO MATE’ △도시철도 급행 DRT △시니어 패스 도입 등 대중교통 서비스 개선 아이디어를 제시했다.

대구공공시설관리공단과 협업한 계명대학교 팀은 ‘청년이 모이는 지하상권 활성화 방안’을 발표했다. 반월당 지하상권 인식조사를 기반으로 △랜드마크 설치 △길 안내 키오스크·QR 지도 비치 △청년 창업 공모전 개최 등을 제안했다.

이번 프로그램은 지난해 12월 대구시 공사·공단이 체결한 ‘지역 소멸 및 저출생 위기 극복 공동 대응 업무협약’의 후속 사업으로, 지역 청년이 정책 혁신의 주체로 성장하고 실제 정책 참여로 이어지는 발판을 마련했다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

정명섭 대구도시개발공사 사장은 “청년들의 참신한 아이디어가 공공기관의 전문성과 결합된다면 대구의 혁신은 더욱 가속화될 것”이라며 “발표된 우수 제안들이 실제 사업으로 이어질 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu City Corporations and Public Corporations Hold Final Presentation for "Youth ON: Local Creator"

On the 7th, three Daegu City corporations and public corporations (Daegu Urban Development Corporation, Daegu Transportation Corporation, and Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation) held the final presentation for their university student apprentice program, "Youth ON: Local Creator," at the Daegu Urban Development Corporation.

This event was designed to share the achievements of the approximately two-month program, which began with an orientation in September, and to explore ways to overcome the regional extinction crisis and create a youth-friendly city through the creative ideas of local youth.

Approximately 50 people attended the final presentation, including executives and staff from the three organizations and the Innovation Strategy Team Leader of the Daegu City Policy Planning Office. Three local university student teams presented their projects, conducted with mentors from each organization.

Each team presented feasible and creative ideas aimed at addressing the regional extinction crisis and creating a youth-friendly city.

The Kyungpook National University team, in collaboration with the Daegu Urban Development Corporation, proposed "Strengthening Housing Stability for Local Youth" and proposed innovative youth housing policies, including: a job stay program for public rental housing; a first-time deposit support program for young people; a jeonse fraud prevention education and support program; and a one-stop youth platform called "Daegu An, Chak!"

The Yeungnam University team, in collaboration with the Daegu Transportation Corporation, presented "Public Transportation Revitalization Plans Connecting Everyone," suggesting ideas for improving public transportation services, including the "DTRO MATE" commuter efficiency report; the DRT express subway; and the introduction of senior passes.

The Keimyung University team, in collaboration with the Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation, presented "Plans to Revitalize Underground Commercial Areas Where Young People Gather." Based on a survey of the Banwoldang underground commercial area, they proposed: installing landmarks; installing wayfinding kiosks and QR maps; and hosting a youth entrepreneurship contest.

This program is a follow-up to the "Joint Response Agreement to Overcome the Crisis of Regional Extinction and Low Birth Rates" signed by Daegu City's public corporations and industrial complexes in December of last year. It is significant in that it establishes a foundation for local youth to become active agents of policy innovation and engage in actual policy participation.

Jeong Myeong-seop, President of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, stated, "If the innovative ideas of young people are combined with the expertise of public institutions, innovation in Daegu will accelerate even further." He added, "We will actively support the successful proposals presented so that they can be translated into actual projects."
