교육과정 현장 네트워크는 교원(유·초·중등 특수)과 교육전문직 등으로 구성될 예정으로 오는 2월 4일까지 모집하고 2월 16일 참여자 선정을 발표할 예정이다.

이들은 선정 된 이후 교육과정에 대한 공론화와 현장 중심의 새로운 교육과정 거버넌스 모델을 시·도교육감 총회와 교육부에 제안하는 역할을 수행하게 될 예정이다.

최교진 전국시도교육감협의회 회장은 “이번 교육과정 현장 네트워크 운영을 통해 연구자 중심에서 학교와 교육청 현장 중심의 교육과정 토대를 구축하고 시·도교육청(지역)교육과정의 체계화를 마련하는 기회가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
