청도군은 청도자연휴양림의 원활한 운영을 위해 17일 청도공영사업공사(사장 박진우)와 청도자연휴양림관리운영 위·수탁 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약식은 청도군에서 조성한 청도자연휴양림을 청도공영사업공사에 위탁하여 관리·운영하도록 하는데 있어 필요한 사항을 규정하여 원활한 휴양림 운영을 위해 추진됐다.

청도공영사업공사는 청도군에서 설립한 지방공기업으로 2011년부터 청도소싸움경기사업을 운영하여 레저관광사업에 축적된 역량과 경험을 청도자연휴양림 관리운영에 접목하여 휴양림 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

청도자연휴양림은 산림의 생태·휴양에 대한 체험 제공 및 지역경제 활성화와 저탄소 녹색성장의 기반을 조성하고자 각북면 오산리 일원에 113억원을 투입하여 2021년 숲속의 집 9동, 산림문화휴양관 1동, 캠핑장 35면, 캠핑센터(화장실, 샤워실, 취사장), 주변 등산로 등이 조성되었다.

황영호 청도군수 권한대행은 “전문성을 가진 청도공영사업공사에서 다양한 프로그램 개발 및 투명한 운영을 통해 청도자연휴양림 활성화에 노력해달라.” 며 “청도군에서도 적극 노력하여 지역을 대표하는 산림문화휴양시설로 만들어 가겠다.”라고 말했다.
