【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 대구시는 ‘골목경제 회복지원사업 우수사례’ 평가에서 ‘대구 골목경제권 조성사업’으로 최우수상을 수상했다고 29일 밝혔다.

행정안전부는 매년 전국 지자체와 지방공공기관에서 추진하는 ‘골목경제 지원사업’ 우수사례 선정 평가를 통한 여타 지자체로의 사업 확산을 유도하고 있다. 

이번 우수사례 선정기준은 지역 경제공동체 노력·참여도, 사업 창의성·효과성, 확산 가능성·지속성 및 실질적인 성과 등이며, 서면심사 및 발표심사 등 전문가 심사를 통해 대상 1개, 최우수상 2개, 우수상 4개 등 총 7개 사업이 최종 선정됐다.

올해 최우수상에 선정된 ‘대구 골목경제권 조성사업’은 광역지자체에서는 최초로 기존 정부 정책에서 소외됐던 골목상권의 체계적인 지원 및 관리를 통해, 지역 고유의 자원을 활용해 특색 있는 거리를 조성하고, 유관기관 협업사업으로 수익사업 발굴에 앞장서는 등 지역상권 활성화에 기여했다는 점을 높이 평가받았다.

대구시는 지난 2021년 ‘대구 골목상권 중장기계획’을 수립하고, 지역 골목상권을 대상으로 2025년까지 총 120개소 전략적 육성을 목표로 (재)대구전통시장진흥재단과 함께 사업을 추진해오고 있다.

매년 30개소의 골목경제권 조성을 위해 상권공동체 조직화 지원에서부터 명품골목상권 조성사업까지 단계별 지원사업을 통해 골목상권 상인들로부터 높은 만족도와 참여의지를 이끌어내고 있으며, 대구스마트시티지원센터와 대구지역문제해결플랫폼 등 지역 내 유관기관과 협업을 통해 다각적인 방면으로 골목상권을 지원하고 있다.

특히, 명덕역 물베기거리는 2021년에 1단계 상권공동체 조직화 지원사업을 통해 상인회를 결성한 뒤, 2단계 상권 회복지원사업, 3단계 명품골목상권 조성사업에 순차적으로 선정되면서 벽화거리 조성, 골목상권 입간판 및 디자인 사인물 설치, 상인회 컨설팅 및 교육, 상권 서포터즈 운영, 축제이벤트 개최, 협동조합 설립을 통한 수익사업 발굴 등 다양한 사업으로 상권 활성화에 박차를 가하고 있다.

이종화 대구시 경제부시장은 “이번 수상의 영예는 대구시뿐만 아니라 해당 골목 상인들의 적극적인 참여와 노력 덕분이다”며, “해당 상권의 특·장점을 살린 맞춤식 사업 추진으로 소상공인의 경영회복 등 지역의 골목경제 활성화를 위해 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
