14일 군에 따르면 이번 기부는 자매결연도시의 상호발전과 더불어 출향인, 자매도시주민 등의 적극적인 동참을 독려하기 위해 이뤄졌다.

특히 고향사랑 기부제가 열악한 지방 재정을 보완하고 지역 경제 활성화 기반을 마련할 수 있는 제도인 만큼, 자매결연도시들과의 지속적인 교류는 제도의 성공적인 정착에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

윤경희 청송군수는 “이번 기부가 자매결연도시 간 상호기부로 양 지자체의우호 협력을 증진하고 상생 발전할 수 있는 기회가 되기를 바란다.”며 “지역에 활력을 불어넣고 지방소멸 대응에 앞장설 수 있도록고향사랑기부제에 많은 관심을 부탁드린다.”고 말했다.

한편, 지난 달 18일 이태훈 대구 달서구청장은 경북 청송군에 고향사랑 기부금 100만 원을 기탁한 바 있다.
