13일 안동시에 따르면 권 시장은 이날 NH농협은행 안동시지부를 방문해 안동시와 자매결연인 경기도 이천시, 전라북도 전주시, 경상남도 진주시, 서울특별시 송파구, 종로구, 충청남도 공주시, 강원도 강릉시와 함께 우호교류를 맺은 서울특별시,대구광역시, 그리고 교류 추진 중인 전라남도 목포시 등 총 10개 도시에 고향사랑기부금을 기탁 했다.

특히,기부금의 30% 이내로 제공되는 답례품은 자매·우호도시의 대표 특산품으로 선택해 관내 사회복지시설 등 취약계층에 기부할 예정이다.

권 시장은 “자매·우호도시의 발전을 위해 기부를 하게 돼매우 뜻깊고 기쁘다.”면서“이번 기부로 자매·우호도시와 교류의 폭을 넓히고 우호관계를 더욱 돈독히 하며 상호 발전을 응원하는 계기가 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.
