안동시는 이번 산불로 인해 본격적인 농번기를 앞두고 농기계 수급에 큰 차질을 빚었으나, 민관이 함께 나선 따뜻한 연대의 손길 덕분에 피해 농가들은 다시 영농을 시작할 수 있는 발판을 마련하고 있다.

산불 발생 직후부터 농기계 제조 기업과 전국 지자체, 공공기관 등이 발 빠르게 지원에 나섰다.

LS, TYM, 대동, 아세아텍 등 국내 주요 농기계 제조사들과 함께 ▲상주시 ▲구미시 ▲고령군 ▲성주군 ▲칠곡군(경북), ▲용인시 ▲고양시 ▲김포시 ▲양평군 ▲여주시 ▲연천군 ▲평택시 ▲안성시(경기), ▲장수군(전북특별자치도) 등은 트랙터 12대, 관리기 27대, 스피드스프레이어 2대, 퇴비살포기 3대 등 다양한 농기계를 안동시에 임대 지원했다.

또한 대한적십자사는 동력제초기 11대와 굴삭기 7대를 기부했으며, 대구농수산물유통관리공사도 관리기 16대를 기증하는 등 온정의 릴레이가 이어지고 있다.

현재 이들 장비는 안동시 농기계임대사업소를 통해 피해 농가에 무상으로 임대되고 있다.

권기창 안동시장은 “산불로 삶의 터전과 생계를 잃은 농가들의 상실감이 컸지만, 전국 각지에서 보내주신 지원이 큰 힘이 되고 있다”며 “도움을 주신 모든 분들께 깊이 감사드리며, 피해 농민들이 하루빨리 일상으로 복귀할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 안동시는 추가적인 복구 대책과 함께 장기적인 지원 방안 마련에도 속도를 내고 있으며, 농기계 수급 외에도 피해 농가 대상 복구 지원금, 심리 상담 등 다각적인 대책을 추진 중이다.
