시에 따르면 이번 사업은 안동의 전통 종가문화와 현대적 워케이션 문화를 융합해, 고유의 지역 자산을 활용한 새로운 근무·여행 모델을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다.

‘안동 종가 워케이션’은 도산면 선성현문화단지 내 전통 민가촌과 한옥체험관을 숙박 공간으로 활용하고, 옛 관아 건물을 복원한 인리청과 형리청을 업무 공간으로 구성해 참가자들이 한옥의 정취 속에서 근무와 휴식을 동시에 경험할 수 있도록 했다.

이 프로그램은 올해 7월부터 12월까지 총 20회에 걸쳐 순차 운영되며, 7월에는 ㈜에픽스를 포함한 7개 기업 및 프리랜서 76명이 참여해 6회의 워케이션이 진행된다. 참가자들은 한옥에서의 숙박과 함께 가양주 체험, 종가문화 강연 등 전통문화 기반의 다양한 콘텐츠를 경험하게 된다.

안동시는 이번 사업을 통해 종가문화의 철학과 일상을 현대적인 근무 환경에 접목시키고, 지역 문화 자산의 새로운 확장 가능성을 모색하고 있다.

안동시 관계자는 “전통과 현대가 공존하는 ‘안동 종가 워케이션’은 문화도시 안동의 정체성을 잘 보여주는 사례”라며, “고유문화와 일상생활의 경계를 허무는 새로운 방식의 지역 콘텐츠로 자리매김하길 기대한다”고 말했다.

Andong City, Combining Jongga Culture and Workation… ‘Andong Jongga Workation’ Full-scale Operation

Andong City and the Korea Spiritual Culture Foundation will operate ‘Andong Jongga Workation’ in earnest from July 2 as part of the Republic of Korea Cultural City Development Project.

According to the city, this project aims to present a new work/travel model that utilizes unique regional assets by combining Andong’s traditional Jongga culture and modern workation culture.

‘Andong Jongga Workation’ utilizes the traditional folk village and Hanok Experience Center in Seonseonghyeon Cultural Complex in Dosan-myeon as accommodations, and the restored Inricheong and Hyeongnicheong old government buildings as work spaces, allowing participants to experience work and rest at the same time in the atmosphere of a Hanok.

This program will be operated sequentially for a total of 20 times from July to December this year, and in July, 7 companies including Epix and 76 freelancers will participate in 6 workations. Participants will experience a variety of traditional culture-based content, including staying at a Hanok, experiencing Gayangju, and lectures on Jongga culture.

Through this project, Andong City is grafting the philosophy and daily life of Jongga culture into a modern work environment and exploring new possibilities for expanding regional cultural assets.

An Andong City official said, “The ‘Andong Jongga Workation’ where tradition and modernity coexist is a good example of Andong’s identity as a cultural city,” and “We hope it will establish itself as a new form of regional content that breaks down the boundaries between traditional culture and daily life.”
