경상북도선거관리위원회에 따르면 5일 실시한 경북지역 재·보궐선거에서 경상북도의회 보궐선거 구미시 제4선거구의 경우, 선거인수 3만9천820명에 투표자가 6천744명에 불과 투표율 16.9%를 보였다. 또, 포항시의회의원 재선거 포항시 ‘나’선거구는 선거인수 1만8천179명에 투표자수 7천604명이 투표해 41.8%의 투표율을 보였다.

개표 결과, 경북도의원을 선출하는 구미시 제4선거구는 64.95%를 획득한 국민의힘 김일수 후보자가 당선됐다. 포항시의원을 선출하는 포항시 ‘나’선거구는  58.49%를 획득한 국민의힘 김상백 후보자가 각각 당선됐다.
