올해 ‘경상북도 투자유치대상’대상에는 SK스페셜티㈜(영주), 우수상은 대영전기㈜(경산), ㈜보백씨엔에스(구미), 에코프로이노베이션(포항), 특별상에는 ㈜동천수(상주), 동원테크놀러지㈜(김천), ㈜태동테크(김천)가 수상했다.

이날 기업부문 대상을 수상한 SK스페셜티㈜는 반도체·디스플레이 패널 등에 사용하는 특수가스 등을 제조 및 판매하는 기업으로 올해 7월 경북도, 영주시와 반도체 디스플레이용 신소재 제조공장 신·증설을 위한 5,000억원 투자양해각서(MOU)를 체결했으며 영주 가흥일반산업단지 및 SK스페셜티일반산업단지에 대규모 투자를 시행함에 따라 다수의 직·간접적인 고용 유발 효과와 지역 재정 확대에 기여했다.

우수상을 수상한 대영전기㈜는 경산에 소재지가 있는 내연 기관 자동차엔진용 부품 생산업체로 출발하여 2016년부터 자동차 전장용 부품(LED조명) 분야에 진출해 성공적으로 사업을 확장했으며 지난 10월 경산시 4일반산업단지에 890억원 규모의 투자를 완료했고 2025년 말까지 400억원의 추가 설비 투자를 계획 중에 있다.

㈜보백씨엔에스는 올해 경북도, 구미시와 이차전지용 절연제 제품개발 및 양산에 관한 1,000억원 투자양해각서(MOU)를 체결한 기업으로 전기차 배터리 누전 폭발 사고를 방지할 수 있는 배터리 보호용 절연제 및 셀(CELL) 등 다양한 제품을 개발하여 세계 전기차 시장을 공략하고 있는 지역 대표 기업이다.

㈜에코프로이노베이션은 이차전지 산업 핵심 기술개발인 수산화리튬 제조 기술 및 폐전극 소재를 이용한 리튬과 유가금속의 분리 회수 방법에 특허를 보유한 포항 기업으로 2020년 730억원의 투자양해각서(MOU)를 체결해 투자를 완료했고, 향후 블루밸리 국가산업단지 내 약 3,800억원의 추가 투자를 계획하고 있다.

특별상을 수상한 ㈜동천수는 동아쏘시오홀딩스 그룹의 계열사로 기존의 생수 제조업체를 인수하여 생수 사업으로 시작해 탄산수까지 사업을 확장했다. 2021년 사업확장을 위해 상주시와 520억원 규모의 투자양해각서(MOU)를 체결했으며, 지난 10월 동천수 상주캠퍼스 제3공장을 완공해 상주시를 대표하는 기업으로 함께 성장했다.

동원테크놀러지㈜는 자동차용 공조 부품을 생산해 한온시스템 및 보쉬전장과 케이비오토텍에 부품을 공급해 왔으며, 2011년부터는 현대모비스에 자동차용 헤드램프 부품을 생산해 납품 중인 내실 있는 기업이다.

2019년 김천시와 투자양해각서(MOU)를 체결하고 130억원을 투자해 김천공장을 증설 완료했으며, 현재까지 44명의 신규 고용 일자리를 창출하는 등 지역경제 활성화에 기여하고 있다.

㈜태동테크는 자동차용 내비게이션, 오디오 등 내장 부품에 사용되는 패널 제품을 생산하는 업체로 수출도 활발히 이루어지고 있으며, 2021년 김천시와 158억원 규모의 투자양해각서(MOU)를 체결해 김천공장을 증설하여 착실히 투자를 진행 중이다.

시군 부문 대상은 한 해 동안 총 8조 9,000억원의 투자 실적을 끌어내고 특히 CNGR, 화유코발트, 포스코퓨처엠, 에코프로 등 이차전지 분야의 대표 기업 투자유치를 성공적으로 이끌고, 대규모 신규 투자 진행중에 기업애로 사항을 적극 해결한 포항시와 영천시, 의성군이 수상했다. 또한, 우수상은 구미시, 고령군이 선정되었으며, 장려상은 영주시, 예천군이 수상했다.

공무원 부문 대상은 포항시와 구미시에서 대상 수상의 영예를 안았으며 우수상 2명, 장려상 2명을 선정해 표창했다.

이철우 경북도지사는 “ 경상북도가 올 한해 이차전지, 반도체 특화단지 지정 및 신규 국가산단 후보지로 안동(바이오생명), 경주(SMR), 울진(원자력수소) 선정 등의 성과는 투자기업 대표와 근로자 여러분, 그리고 도․시군 관계자들의 적극적인 의지와 노력 덕분”이라고 강조했다.

그러면서 “앞으로도 이차전지 등 미래 첨단 산업 분야에서 세계적으로 경쟁력 있는 많은 기업이 경북에 투자할 수 있도록 기업 하기 좋은 환경을 확실히 만들어 기업과 함께 성장할 수 있는 경상북도가 될 수 있도록 행․재정적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”라고 말했다.
