【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시의회 최재필 의원(의회운영위원장)과 박광호 의원(문화도시위원장)이 경상북도 시군의회의장협의회에서 수여하는 ‘2024년 경상북도 의정봉사대상’을 수상했다.

6일 경주시의회에 따르면 의정봉사대상은 모범적인 지방의정활동으로 지역발전과 주민 복리증진, 지방자치실현에 기여한 지방의회 의원을 선정하여 수여되는 상으로서, 올해 경주시에서는 최재필 의원과 박광호 의원이 수상하는 영예를 얻었다.

최재필 의원은 5분 자유발언을 통해 관광 콘텐츠의 중요성을 강조하고 실버타운의 설립을 제안함으로써 경주시의 미래성장을 위한 방향을 제시하였으며, 공동주택관리 조례의 일부 개정과 고려인 지원 조례 신설을 통해 경주시 사회적 약자의 처우를 개선하고자 힘썼다.

또한 박광호 의원은 지역구 내 계획된 사업의 조속한 시행을 촉구하는 내용의 5분 자유발언을 실시함으로써 지역민의 뜻을 적극 대변하였으며, 지난 7월부터 제9대 경주시의회 후반기 문화도시위원장으로 선출되어 보다 적극적인 현장방문 행보를 펼치는 등의 공로를 인정받았다.

최재필 의원은 수상 소감으로 “경주시의원 모두가 열정적으로 의정을 수행하고 있음에도 제가 수상하게 되어 무거운 책임감을 느끼며, 앞으로도 살기 좋은 경주시를 만들기 위한 다양한 정책을 마련하는 데 이바지하겠다.”고 전했다.

박광호 의원은 “경주시의원으로서 당연히 할 일을 했을 뿐임에도 수상하게 되어 영광”이라며, “더욱 열심히 시의원의 역할에 임하라는 시민의 뜻으로 받아들이고 남은 임기에도 민의를 파악하고 대변하기 위해 전력을 다하겠다.”고 수상소감을 밝혔다.

Gyeongju City Council Members Choi Jae-pil (Chairman of the Council Operations Committee) and Park Gwang-ho (Chairman of the Cultural City Committee) received the ‘2024 Gyeongsangbuk-do Legislative Service Award’ presented by the Gyeongsangbuk-do City and County Council Speakers’ Council.

This year, in Gyeongju, Assemblymen Choi Jae-pil and Park Gwang-ho received the honor.

Assemblyman Choi Jae-pil emphasized the importance of tourism content through a 5-minute free speech and proposed the establishment of a silver town, thereby suggesting a direction for the future growth of Gyeongju City.
