24일 경주시의회에 따르면 이번 상은 지방자치단체 행복지수와 의정활동을 조사･평가하는 여의도정책연구원에서 주관하며, 전국 광역 및 기초의회 의원들을 대상으로 조례 발의 실적, 출석률, 주민 소통 등 다양한 분야에 대해 종합적으로 평가 및 시상하는 권위 있는 상이다.

김소현 의원은 제9대 초선 의원으로 ‘경주시 푸드테크산업 육성 및 지원 조례안’, ‘경주시 납세자보호에 관한 사무처리 조례 일부개정조례안’, ‘경주시 어촌･어업인 지원에 관한 조례안’, ‘경주시 농어업회의소 지원 조례안’ 등 주민의 실생활과 밀접한 다양한 분야의 조례를 대표･공동 발의하여 지역주민의 생활환경개선을 위해 노력해왔다.

또한, 평소 민생현장에서 지역 주민들의 목소리에 귀를 기울이며 주민을 위한 의정활동을 펼치는 등 복리증진 및 복지향상을 의정활동 최우선 지표로 삼아 행복한 경주 실현에 앞장서고 있다.
