청송군은 민생회복 소비쿠폰 집행 우수기관으로 선정돼 특별교부세 1억5천만 원을 확보한 데 이어, 정부가 주관한 ‘대한민국 새단장’ 추진 평가에서도 경상북도 내에서 유일하게 최우수 지방자치단체로 선정돼 추가로 특별교부세 1억 원을 받게 됐다고 밝혔다.
민생회복 소비쿠폰 사업과 관련해 군은 정부 지침에 따라 타 지자체보다 일주일 앞서 소비쿠폰 지급 신청을 시작하는 등 신속한 행정 대응에 나섰다. 군민 불편을 최소화하고 지역 내 소비 회복을 뒷받침하기 위해 선제적으로 사업을 집행하고 빠른 소비를 독려한 점이 집행 우수기관 선정의 주요 요인으로 평가됐다.
