군은 먼저 아이 키우기 좋은 환경 조성을 위해 보육 지원을 대폭 강화한다. 노인일자리 사업과 연계한 ‘조부모 손자녀 돌봄사업’을 통해 양육 공백을 최소화하고, 무상교육 지원 대상을 기존보다 확대해 4~5세 유아까지 지원한다. 이와 함께 어린이집 급·간식비를 인상해 영유아에게 양질의 급식을 제공하고, 부모의 돌봄 부담을 실질적으로 줄일 계획이다.

국가보훈대상자에 대한 예우도 확대된다. 군은 국가보훈대상자 예우(명예)수당과 사망한 참전유공자 배우자 복지수당을 비롯해 명절 위문품 지원, 안보전적지 견학 지원 등을 통해 존중받는 보훈 문화 조성에 힘쓰고 있다. 올해부터는 국가보훈대상자 및 참전유공자 예우수당과 보훈·안보단체 운영비를 인상 지원해 보훈대상자의 생활 안정과 단체 운영 활성화를 도모한다.
