이번 평가는 서울과 인천을 제외한 전국 15개 시·도 내 918개 재해예방 사업장을 대상으로 실시됐다. 행정안전부는 매년 상·하반기 두 차례에 걸쳐 예산 신속 집행과 부실시공 관리 등 사업 추진 전반에 대한 실태를 점검해 우수 지자체를 선정하고 있다.

청송군은 재해위험 개선지구와 급경사지 정비 대상지를 사전에 현장 점검하고 전문가 컨설팅을 거쳐 사업을 조기에 발주하는 등 선제적 대응에서 높은 평가를 받았다. 또한 사업 추진 상황과 예산 집행 가능 여부를 정기적으로 점검하고, 부진 사업장에 대한 대책 회의를 개최하는 등 적극적인 행정을 펼친 점이 모범 사례로 인정됐다.

이번 평가 결과에 따라 사업 추진에 기여한 기관과 공무원에게는 행정안전부 장관 표창이 수여될 예정이다.

청송군 관계자는 “재해예방사업은 군민의 생명과 안전을 지키는 중요한 사업”이라며 “앞으로도 철저한 점검과 관리로 안전한 청송군을 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Cheongsong County has been selected as the best local government in the nation in the ‘2025 Evaluation of the Implementation Status of Disaster Prevention Projects’ conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

This evaluation covered 918 disaster prevention project sites across 15 cities and provinces nationwide, excluding Seoul and Incheon. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety selects outstanding local governments by inspecting the overall status of project implementation, including the rapid execution of budgets and the management of substandard construction, twice a year in the first and second halves.

Cheongsong County received high marks for its preemptive response, such as conducting on-site inspections of disaster risk improvement zones and steep slope maintenance sites in advance, and issuing project orders early following expert consultations. Furthermore, the county was recognized as an exemplary case for its proactive administration, which included regularly monitoring project progress and budget execution feasibility, as well as holding meetings to discuss countermeasures for underperforming sites.
