【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=한국수력원자력 한울원자력본부(본부장 이세용)는 한울5호기(가압경수로형·100만kW급)가 26일 오전 8시 발전을 정지하고 제15차 계획예방정비에 착수했다고 밝혔다.
한울본부에 따르면 이번 계획예방정비는 약 103일간의 일정으로 진행된다. 정비 기간 동안 동해안 송전제약 해소를 위한 차단기 용량 증대 공사를 비롯해 취수구 횡방향 구속기 교체 시공 등 주요 설비 개선 작업이 이뤄질 예정이다.
아울러 원자력안전법에 따른 각종 법정검사와 규제기관의 적합성 확인 절차도 병행된다. 모든 점검과 검사를 마친 뒤에는 원자력안전위원회의 가동 승인을 받아 6월 중 발전을 재개할 계획이다.
한울본부 관계자는 “철저한 정비와 설비 개선을 통해 발전설비의 안전성과 신뢰도를 한층 강화할 방침”이라고 밝혔다.
