【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 한울원자력본부(본부장 이세용, 이하 한울본부)는 10일 한울본부장, 어촌계장협의회장 및 어민대표들과 함께 울진군 석호항에서 원전 온배수로 키운 어패류 방류행사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

석호․나곡 앞바다에 강도다리 치어 3만미를 방류했고, 어촌계 주변 암반에 전복치패 2만미를 부착했다.

한울본부는‘바다의날’을 기념하여 1999년부터 매년 온배수 이용 양식 어․패류 방류사업을 이어왔으며, 올해까지 총 270만미의 치어와 치패를 원전 인근 해역에 방류했다.

어촌계협의회장은 “어족자원과 어민들의 생계에 대한 지속적인 고민과 도움을 주는 한울본부에 진심으로 감사하고, 치어와 치패가 잘 자라 만선할 수 있기를 바란다”라고 말했다.

이세용 본부장은 “한울본부가 지속적으로 시행해 온 어패류 방류가 어민 소득 증대와 어족자원 형성에 기여해서 기쁘고, 앞으로도 지역사회와 발맞추어 함께 가기 위해 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.

Hanul Headquarters, ‘Release Event for Fish and Shellfish Farmed in Warm Water’

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Hanul Nuclear Headquarters (CEO Lee Se-yong, hereinafter referred to as Hanul Headquarters) announced on the 10th that it held a release event for fish and shellfish raised in warm water from the nuclear power plant at Seokho Port in Uljin-gun together with the Hanul Headquarters Director, the Chairman of the Fisheries Village Association, and fishermen’s representatives.

30,000 Gangdodari fry were released in the sea in front of Seokho and Nagok, and 20,000 abalone spats were attached to the rocks around the fishing village.

Hanul Headquarters has been carrying out the release event for fish and shellfish farmed in warm water since 1999 to commemorate ‘Ocean Day’, and has released a total of 2.7 million fry and spats in the waters near the nuclear power plant as of this year.

The chairman of the fishing village council said, “I sincerely thank Hanul Headquarters for their continuous concern and assistance regarding fish resources and the livelihoods of fishermen, and I hope that the fry and squid will grow well and be abundant.”

Director Lee Se-yong said, “I am glad that the fish and shellfish release that Hanul Headquarters has continuously implemented has contributed to increasing fishermen’s income and forming fish resources, and I will continue to work together with the local community.”
