동구청에 따르면 분양 텃밭은 구획당 약 14㎡정도로 운영기간은 3월부터 12월까지이며 이달 26일까지 동 행정복지센터를 통해 텃밭 이용자를 모집한다.
분양대금은 구획당 4만원으로 신청일 현재 주민등록 주소지 또는 근무지가 동구인 주민이면 누구나 세대별 1구획 신청이 가능하다. 당첨자는 무작위 전산 추첨으로 선정되며 3월 5일경 구청 홈페이지에 게재될 예정이다.
대림동에 위치한 동구 공영텃밭은 지역민들의 정서순화와 농업에 대한 이해도 증대, 도시농업의 발전을 위해 조성한 공간이며 1년 단위로 신청자를 모집․운영하고 있다. 안전한 먹거리 생산과 지속가능한 경작을 위하여 농약, 화학비료, 비닐을 일체 사용하지 않는 친환경 텃밭으로 운영된다.
매년 텃밭이용자를 위한 시기별 기초 현장실습 및 수확재료를 활용한 먹거리 교육과정, 어린이 수확체험 교실 등을 운영하여 이용자들로부터 큰 호응을 받고 있으며, 올해도 이용자의 편의를 위해 다양한 교육을 준비 중에 있다.
배기철 동구청장은 “코로나19로 많은 사람들이 지친 요즘, 텃밭을 가꾸면서 지친 마음을 안정시키고 계절의 변화에 따라 수확의 기쁨을 얻어 마음의 안정과 치유의 계기가 되길 바란다”라고 밝혔다.
