【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=(재)대구동구문화재단 아트센터(관장 이재진)와 대구동부경찰서(서장 장호식)는 지난 17일 대구동부경찰서에서 문화예술을 통한 사회적 약자 배려와 지역사회 통합을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 △공동 프로그램 및 체험활동 기획 △문화체험 자원 상호 지원 △가족관계 회복과 일상 복귀 지원 등 다양한 분야에서 협력할 계획이다. 특히 범죄피해자에 대한 정서적 회복과 사회 복귀를 지원하는 데 있어 문화예술의 치유적 역할을 적극 활용한다는 방침이다.

장호식 동부경찰서장은 “공공기관과 민간문화기관이 함께 힘을 모아 피해자들이 사회의 일원으로 다시 자리매김할 수 있도록 돕는 중요한 출발점이 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 범죄 예방과 수사뿐 아니라 피해자의 치유와 회복을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이재진 아트센터 관장도 “문화예술을 통해 가정폭력, 아동학대, 스토킹 등 범죄로 인한 상처를 치유하고, 피해자들이 일상으로 돌아갈 수 있도록 실질적인 지원을 이어가겠다”며 협약의 의미를 강조했다.

이번 협약은 지역사회 내 다양한 기관이 협력하여 사회적 약자를 보호하고, 문화적 접근을 통해 통합과 치유를 이끌어내는 민·관 협력의 새로운 모델로 평가받고 있다.

Daegu Dong-gu Cultural Foundation Art Center (Director Lee Jae-jin) and Daegu Dong-gu Police Station (Chief Jang Ho-sik) signed a business agreement (MOU) on the 17th at Daegu Dong-gu Police Station to support the socially disadvantaged through culture and arts and to integrate the local community.

Lee Jae-jin, the director of the Art Center, also emphasized the meaning of the agreement, saying, “We will continue to provide practical support so that victims can heal the wounds caused by crimes such as domestic violence, child abuse, and stalking through culture and arts, and so that they can return to their daily lives.”

This agreement is evaluated as a new model of public-private cooperation in which various organizations within the local community cooperate to protect the socially vulnerable and lead to integration and healing through cultural approaches.
