주택 임대차 신고제는 국토교통부가 2021년 6월 1일부터 시행 중인 제도로, 임차인의 권리 보호와 임대차 시장의 투명성 강화를 위해 도입됐다.
신고 대상은 보증금 6,000만 원 또는 월세 30만 원을 초과하는 주택 임대차 계약으로, 임대인과 임차인 모두에게 신고 의무가 있다. 단, 서명‧날인된 계약서를 일방이 제출할 경우 공동 신고로 인정된다.
신고는 동 행정복지센터 방문 접수 외에도 부동산거래관리시스템(온라인 및 모바일)을 통해 가능하다.
그간 시민 편의를 고려해 2024년 5월 31일까지는 과태료 부과를 유예해 왔지만, 6월 1일부터는 위반 시 최대 100만 원 이하의 과태료가 부과된다.
윤석준 동구청장은 “계약일로부터 30일 이내에 반드시 신고해야 한다”며 “과태료 부과로 인한 불이익이 발생하지 않도록 구민 여러분의 적극적인 협조를 바란다”고 당부했다.
