대구 동구청(구청장 배기철)이 2020년도 대구시 주관 지방세정 종합평가에서 ‘우수기관’에 선정돼 기관표창과 함께 1억 원의 상사업비를 확보했다.

8일 동구청에 따르면 대구시 8개 구·군을 대상으로 실시한 이번 평가는 2020년 한 해 동안 추진한 지방세 및 세외수입 과징 실적 등 11개 분야 54개 항목에 대하여 종합적으로 이루어졌다.

동구청은변화하는 세정환경에 발맞춰 지방세 운영상 미비점과 불합리한 제도에 대해 적극적으로 과제를 발굴해 왔으며 이러한 노력의 결실로 4년 연속 수상을 하는 성과를 거두고 있다.

특히 지난해 행정안전부 주관으로 개최된 지방재정 우수사례 발표대회에서는 대통령상을 수상하여 지방교부세 3억 원을 확보한 바 있다.

배기철 동구청장은 “이번 평가는 직원들의 업무에 대한 열의와 지방재정 확충 및 공평과세 실현을 위해 노력한 결과이다.”며 “앞으로도 주민을 위한 보다 편리하고 다양한 납세 편의 시책을 통해 신뢰받는 세무행정에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
