경주시에 따르면 안강읍 두류2리는 지방상수도 미공급 지역으로 그동안 지하수 등을 생활식수로 사용해 왔으나 최근 수질오염 등으로 물이 부족해 맑은 수돗물 공급이 시급한 실정이다.

이에 따라 시는 사업비 11억원을 투입해 ‘안강읍 두류2리 급수구역 확장공사’를 추진하고 있다.

지난 2019년과 지난해에 걸쳐 실시설계용역 및 1차 공사(상수관로 300m 구간 매설)를 완료했으며, 올해는 7억원을 투입해 상수관로 4.5㎞ 구간을 매설하게 된다.

내년에는 3차 공사로 사업비 3억원을 들여 상수관로 1.3㎞ 구간과 가압장 1개소를 설치할 계획이다.

사업이 완료되면 안강읍 두류2리의 57가구, 100여명의 주민은 깨끗한 생활식수를 공급받을 수 있게 된다.

남진희 상수도과장은 “지역 내 상수도 미공급 지역에서의 상수도 공급을 지속적으로 추진해 주민들의 불편을 해소해 나갈 것”이라고 전했다.

When the project is completed, 57 households and 100 residents of Duryu 2-ri, Angang-eup will be able to receive clean drinking water.
