2022년 임인년(壬寅年) 새해가 밝았습니다.

올해는 지난 2년간 우리를 억눌러 왔던, 코로나19로부터 벗어나 완전한 일상회복의 기쁨을 누리길 기원하며, 군민 여러분 가정마다 건강과 행복이 가득하시고 우리 군정에도 큰 역사가 이루어지는 한해가 되기를 바랍니다.

아울러, 지난 한 해 동안 어려운 시기를 견뎌내며, 군정발전을 위해 한없는 애정과 성원을 보내 주신 3만여 군민 여러분께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 

지난해는 끝이 보이지 않는 코로나19 위기에도 불구하고, 군정 전반의 고른 성과창출과 새로운 미래에 한걸음 더 다가갈 수 있었던 의미 있는 한해였습니다.

봉화군이 추진해온 핵심 사업들은 그간의 노력들이 하나 둘 결실을 맺으며, 뚜렷한 성과를 나타내기 시작했으며, 지난해 한해만 총 13회의 대외수상과 25건의 공모사업 선정으로 1,135억 원의 사업비와 인센티브를 확보하여, 지역발전의 든든한 동력을 마련할 수 있었습니다.

2022년 또한, 우리에게 분명 새로운 해가 될 것입니다.

임인년(壬寅年) 호랑이의 해를 맞아, 호랑이의 용맹하고 강인한 기운으로 코로나19를 극복하고, 지역의 선명한 변화를 만들어 낼 것입니다.

3년 전 저는 봉화군수로 취임하면서, “새로운 변화와 도전으로 더불어 풍요로운 봉화를 실현 하겠다.”는 약속을 드렸습니다.

코로나 팬데믹과 수도권 집중화에 따른 지방소멸의 위기 앞에 봉화를 살리고 성장시킨다는 것은 쉽지만은 않은 일이었습니다.

그러나 여러분께서 저를 믿어주셨고, 저 또한 봉화의 무한한 잠재력과 군민 여러분의 뛰어난 역량을 믿고 있었기에, 오늘까지 올 수 있었습니다. 

지금 우리는 급변하는 시대적 환경 속에서 앞서 가느냐 아니면 뒤처지느냐 하는 중대한 기로에 서있습니다.

저는 중단 없는 봉화 발전과 새로운 변화를 위해 언제나 군민 여러분과 함께 하겠습니다.

 “하늘을 나는 연은 순풍이 아닌 역풍에 가장 높이 난다.”고 합니다.

오늘의 위기상황을 도약의 발판으로 삼아 더불어 풍요로운 봉화 실현을 위해 끝까지 최선을 다하겠습니다.
