【브레이크뉴스 경북 】이성현 기자=(재)경북테크노파크(원장 하인성)와 한국재료연구원(원장 이정환)이 20일 부품소재 분야 기술교류 및 협력을 위한 상호협력 MOU를 체결했다고 밝혔다.

양 기관은 이번 업무협약 체결에 따라 ▲첨단신소재·미래모빌리티·친환경융합섬유 부품소재 분야 기술교류 ▲소재 부품의 R&D 협력을 통한 첨단기술 확보 ▲소재 부품 사업 기획 및 기술지원 협력 ▲시험평가 및 DB구축 활용 협력 등 관련 산업 육성 분야에서 긴밀한 협조를 이어갈 계획이다.

경북테크노파크는 2020년 ‘차량용 첨단소재 성형가공 기술고도화 기반구축사업’ 선정을 통해 경주시 구어2산단 내 센터 준공을 앞두고 있으며, 2021년에는 산업통상자원부 공모사업 ‘수송기기용 고강도 경량소재 표면처리 기반구축사업’이 최종선정되어 총 200억원 규모의 예산을 확보하는 등 경북지역의 부품소재산업 기반 조성에 힘을 쏟고 있다.

특히, 지난 5월 대한용접접합학회와 경량소재·부품 및 용접·접합 관련 산업육성을 위한 업무협약을 체결한 데 이어 한국재료연구원과 업무협약 추진을 통해 지역 부품소재 산업 생태계 조성을 위한 유기적인 협력 네트워크 확대 및 활성화가 기대되고 있다.

이정환 한국재료연구원 원장은 “부품소재 분야는 특히 모든 산업의 근간이 된다는 점에서 앞으로도 지속적인 성장이 요구되는 분야”라고 말하며, “경북테크노파크와 협력이 국내 소재부품 분야의 기술력 향상에 밑거름이 되기를 희망한다”고 전했다.

하인성 경북테크노파크 원장은 “일본의 반도체·디스플레이 핵심 소재 수출규제 이후 정부가 소부장(소재·부품·장비) 국산화를 본격적으로 추진한 노력이 결실을 맺고 있다. 단기간에 높은 성과를 낼 수 있었던 것은 산학연관이 일치단결해 노력했기 때문”이라고 말하며 “관련 산학연관 네트워크 활성화를 통해 경북이 소부장 기술자립의 메카로 거듭날 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 다짐을 밝혔다.
