【브레이크뉴스 문경】이성현 기자=문경시농업기술센터(소장 이경호)는 지난 22일 문경감홍사과재배연구회원 부부 120여명을 대상으로 ‘고품질 감홍사과 재배기술교육’을 진행했다고 25일 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 김경훈 전 농업기술센터 소장으로부터 ‘여름철 고품질 감홍사과 생산을 위한 재배관리’라는 주제로 여름철 발생할 수 있는 주요 병해충인 탄저병, 복숭아순나방, 응애류 피해와 일소피해 예방 등 농업인이 반드시 실천해야할 내용을 중심으로 진행했다.

감홍사과는 농촌진흥청에서 육종한 우리품종 사과로 17Brix 이상의 당도로 출하시기인 10월에만 맛을 볼 수 있으며 문경시는 400ha 이상의 재배면적을 보유한 전국 최고의 감홍사과 주산지이다.

박성오 연구회장은 “문경의 기간작목인 사과산업과 감홍사과 발전을 위해 농업인이 먼저 변화하고 공부하여 고품질 사과를 생산하면 소비는 자연스레 뒤따라 올 것”이라며 농업인의 변화를 강조하였다.

농업기술센터 관계자는 “그동안 코로나19의 영향으로 2년간 대면교육을 실시하지 못한 상황에서 농업인에게 꼭 필요한 맞춤형 교육으로 교육 만족도가 매우 높았으며, 앞으로 이런 교육의 장을 더욱 확대하겠다”고 밝혔다.
