대구 베이비·키즈 박람회는 2008년부터 출산‧육아용품 전시회로만 개최하던 행사를 올해부터는 출산‧육아 정책박람회로 확대해 대구시 출산정책 홍보관과 170개 사 300부스가 참여하고 임신‧출산 및 영유아 교육 용품 전시회, 출산·육아 관련 세미나 등 부대행사로 구성했다.

올해부터 새롭게 운영되는 출산정책 홍보관은 생애단계별로 미혼·결혼존(zone), 임신존(zone), 난임존(zone), 출생존(zone), 육아존(zone) 등 5개 구역으로 구분해 지원정책을 안내한다.

미혼‧결혼존(zone)에는 대학생 결혼‧육아 관련 교양 교과목 운영,신혼부부 전세자금 대출이자 지원, 작은결혼식 비용지원 등을 임신존(zone)에는 임신‧출산 진료비 지원, 임산부 콜택시 ‘해피맘콜’ 운영 ,임산부 친환경 농산물 꾸러미 지원 등의 정보를 제공한다.
