특히 대구시 올해 목표인 7위 달성을 기원하기 위해 참석내빈이 7개 종목 대표선수에게 필승을 기원하는 목도리를 직접 목에 걸어주며 제42회 전국장애인체육대회에서 참가하는 선수들과 필승 결의를 다졌으며 대구장애인체육회지원단(단장 정한수)에서는 선수단을 위해 마련한 격려금을 전달했다.
대구선수단 이대영 단장(대구시장애인체육회 상임부회장)은 "시기적으로 코로나19가 감소 추세이기는 하지만 우리 선수단의 안전에 더욱 유의하고 고장을 대표해 선전을 펼쳐 좋은 결과를 가지고 돌아오겠다"고 밝혔다.
