시에 따르면 이번에 추가 설치한 지역은 수성구의 분리배출 취약지 2개소(연호동 422, 고모동 375-1)로 현재 대구지역 내에는 전체 27개소가 운영되고 있다.
재활용품 거점수거시설(재활용정거장)은 분리배출함 7종과 분리배출 안내판, 불법투기 감시 CCTV 등으로 구성돼 있으며, 시설물 청결 유지 및 올바른 분리배출 방법 안내를 위해 지역 주민을 전담관리자로 채용해 해당 시설물을 관리할 예정이다.
특히 대구시 최초로 거점수거시설 CCTV 통합관제시스템을 구축했다.
기존 CCTV 운영방식은 현장에서 영상기록칩을 가져와서 PC로 저장했다면, 이제는 실시간으로 현장을 모니터링해 쓰레기 불법투기 단속 및 시설물 관리를 보다 더 철저히 추진할 예정이다.
