23일 대구시에 따르면 2003년부터 시작된  차세대사업은 단순 연구개발(R&D) 자금 지원에서 벗어나 기존 연구개발 성과에 사업화(Business)를 추가해 연계·지원하는 사업화 연계 연구개발(R&BD) 프로젝트로 대구의 산업구조 고도화를 위해 시 정책 방향에 부합하는 산업분야를 집중 지원하고 있다.

대구시가 발표한 최근 10년간 차세대사업의 지원 성과는 사업화 매출 1,036억 원(연계 매출 포함 1,652억 원), 신규 고용 473명(연계고용 포함 650명), 지식 재산권 613건의 성과를 창출했다.

최근 10년간의 지원금액은 총 120억 5,900만 원으로, 환산하면 지원금 1억 원 당 8억 6천만 원의 사업화 매출 성과와 3.9명의 신규 고용 창출 효과를 달성한 셈이다.

특히 차세대사업의 사업화 성공률은 73.3%를 기록했다.

이러한 높은 수치는 차세대사업이 초기 단계부터 효과성, 시장성을 고려해 과제를 선정하고 기술사업화 및 마케팅까지 지원하는 연구개발 전주기 지원 사업이기 때문에 나온 결과로, 시장 중심 연구개발 지원정책의 실효성을 보여준다.

차세대사업의 수혜기업 중 사업 수행 이후 국가연구개발사업에 선정된 기업의 비율 또한 78.5%로 조사돼, 차세대사업이 정부R&D사업에 대한 마중물 역할을 톡톡히 하고 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

차세대사업은 오는 4월에 모집공고를 내고 2023년도 지원기업을 선정할 예정이다.

이종화 대구시 경제부시장은 “올해는 대구 미래산업인 AI, 빅데이터, 블록체인, 미래모빌리티, 로봇 등의 분야에 집중 지원할 예정으로,  기술개발부터 사업화 전주기 지원을 통해 미래산업의 혁신역량을 차차 강화해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Among the beneficiaries of the next-generation project, the ratio of companies selected for the national R&D project after the project was also surveyed was 78.5%, confirming that the next-generation project is playing a role as a priming water for the government R&D project.

For the next-generation project, a recruitment announcement will be made in April and companies to be supported in 2023 will be selected.

Lee Jong-hwa, Deputy Mayor of Daegu City Economy, said, “This year, we plan to focus on supporting the future industries of Daegu, such as AI, big data, blockchain, future mobility, and robots. We will do it,” he said.
