25일 군에 따르면 어촌신활력증진사업은 해양수산부가 낙후된 소규모 어촌의 항․포구의 핵심 자원을 활용해 지역 특성을 반영한 어촌․어항의 통합개발로 어촌 지역경제에 활력을 불어 넣는 사업이다.
지난해 9월 사업공모계획을 통해 124개소를 신청받아, 지난 12월 해양수산부의 최종공모 접수를 통해 시도평가, 서류평가, 현장평가, 종합평가를 거처 1월 19일 최종 65개소의 항․포구를 선정했다.
울진군은 어촌 생활플랫폼 조성사업(유형2)에 골장항, 어촌 안전 인프라 개선(유형3)에 금음항이 선정되어 어항시설정비, 지역특화사업, 관광․문화, 역량강화 사업을 통해 지역주민과 함께 계획하고 추진하여 지역 경기 활성화를 실질적으로 체감할 수 있도록 개발해 나갈 예정이다.
