설명회에는 사업 시행자인 한국토지주택공사(LH)와 경북개발공사가 주관 기관으로 참여하며, 울진군과 용역사 관계자도 함께한다. 산업단지계획(안), 환경·교통·재해 영향평가 초안, 기반시설 계획, 향후 추진 일정 등이 공개되며 이후 주민 질의응답이 이어질 예정이다.
울진 원자력수소 국가산업단지는 죽변면 후정리 일원 144만8,600㎡(약 44만평) 규모로 조성된다. 총사업비는 4,334억 원이며, 완공 후 원자력 기반 수소 대량생산 기지 구축, 산업 경쟁력 강화, 국가 에너지 안보 확보, 지역경제 활성화 등이 기대된다.
LH는 지난달 28일 국토교통부에 산업단지계획 승인 신청을 완료했다. 계획대로라면 2026년 승인 고시, 2027년 보상 착수, 2028년 조성공사 착공, 2033년 준공을 목표로 하고 있다.
노용성 울진군 수소국가산업추진단장은 “이번 설명회는 사업 전반을 군민에게 투명하게 알리고 의견을 듣는 중요한 절차”라며 “원자력수소 국가산업단지가 지역의 새로운 성장축이 될 수 있도록 주민 관심과 참여가 필요하다”고 말했다.

We need the interest and participation of residents so that the nuclear hydrogen national industrial complex can become a new growth engine for the region."
Meanwhile, related materials, including the industrial complex plan and draft impact assessment, are available for review at the Uljin County Office Hydrogen National Industry Promotion Team, the Jukbyeon-myeon Office, and the LH Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters during the viewing period.
