이번에 개관한 민원안내센터는 행정기관의 문턱을 낮추고 현장 중심의 소통을 강화하겠다는 울진군의 의지를 담은 공간으로, 방문객이 복잡한 청사 내부를 오가지 않고도 민원 처리에 필요한 담당 부서와 업무를 신속하게 안내받을 수 있도록 조성됐다.

센터에서는 민원 안내 기능과 함께 울진 전역의 주요 관광지 정보 제공, 고향사랑기부제 등 군정 주요 정책 홍보도 병행해 행정과 관광을 잇는 종합 안내 역할을 수행한다.

센터를 이용한 한 주민은 “군청 입구에 민원안내센터가 생겨 필요한 업무를 바로 안내받을 수 있어 매우 만족스럽다”며 “특히 군청 안으로 들어가지 않아도 깔끔하게 관리된 화장실을 이용할 수 있어 편리하다”고 말했다.

울진군은 이번 민원안내센터가 단순한 민원 안내 공간을 넘어 주민과 상인, 방문객의 일상 속 불편을 세심하게 살피는 소통형 쉼터로 자리매김할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

울진군 관계자는 “민원안내센터는 울진군청의 첫인상을 결정하는 얼굴이자 군민의 목소리를 가장 먼저 듣는 소통 창구”라며 “앞으로도 군민의 입장에서 작은 불편함까지 놓치지 않는 공감 행정을 지속적으로 펼쳐 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
