탄소중립과 기후위기 대응이 전 세계적 과제로 떠오른 지금, 울진군의 원자력 기반 청정수소 생산은 수입 의존도를 낮추고, 국내 산업 생태계를 강화하는 국가적 전략으로 주목받고 있다.

■ Climate crisis response and energy independence… as a national model for regional development

Now that carbon neutrality and climate crisis response have emerged as global issues, Uljin-gun’s nuclear-based clean hydrogen production is attracting attention as a national strategy to reduce import dependence and strengthen the domestic industrial ecosystem.

Uljin-gun expects an economic ripple effect of 17 trillion won and the creation of 38,000 jobs through the development of an industrial complex, and is presenting a blueprint for a ‘city with a population of 100,000 and a local production of 10 trillion won.’
