이날 행사는 산불전문예방진화대 및 감시원의 임명과 함께 산불예방 다짐 결의문 낭독을 통해 산불 방지와 피해 최소화를 위한 의지를 다지는 자리로 마련됐다. 아울러 최근 증가하는 산업재해를 예방하기 위해 안전사고 예방 결의도 함께 진행됐다.

울진군 산불전문예방진화대는 3개 팀 52명으로 구성돼 산불 발생 시 즉시 투입되며, 산불감시원 153명은 읍·면 산불취약지를 순찰하고 불법 소각행위를 단속한다. 감시원들은 화목보일러 사용가구 방문관리, 노인가구 재처리 대행 등 생활 속 산불위험 요소 제거 활동도 병행한다.

군은 입산통제구역 무단입산자와 산림 인접지 폐기물 소각을 강력 단속하며, 적발 시 산림보호법에 따른 과태료 부과와 신고·포상금 제도를 통해 경각심을 높일 계획이다.

손병복 군수는 “울진은 이미 한 차례 큰 산불 피해를 겪은 만큼, 더 이상 산불이 발생하지 않도록 군민 모두가 산불감시 주체라는 마음으로 예방활동에 최선을 다해 달라”고 당부했다.

The event was designed to appoint the specialized forest fire prevention and mitigation team and watchers, and to reaffirm their commitment to forest fire prevention and minimizing damage. A resolution to prevent safety accidents was also adopted to address the recent increase in industrial accidents.

Uljin County's specialized forest fire prevention and suppression team, comprised of 52 members divided into three teams, is immediately deployed in the event of a forest fire. 153 forest fire watchers patrol fire-prone areas in towns and townships and crack down on illegal burning.
