대학의 자율 혁신 역량 강화를 위해 개최된 경북도립대학교 혁신성과공유회는 지난달 30일과 31일, 경주 더케이호텔에서 개최되었다.
이날 행사에는 김상동 총장을 비롯한 부서장, 교수, 대학 직원 등 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 부서별 성과 보고를 시작으로 서울과학기술대학교 정종철 석좌교수의‘대전환과 복합위기 시대, 지역대학 혁신과 역량 강화 방안’에 대한 특강이 진행되었다.
정종철 교수는 경북도립대학교의 기능 다변화 전략과 추진에 대해 구체적 사례를 들어 강의를 진행했다.
특히 지역 전략산업 및 기존 주력산업 전환 등을 뒷받침하는 인재 양성과 교육 등의 프로그램 개발 및 제공은 대학을 거점화하도록 관련 체계를 재편하고, 도내 각 혁신기관 등과의 연계 강화를 통한 광역 생태계를 조성하는 데 경북도립대학교가 중심적 역할을 해야 한다고 강조했다.
김상동 총장은 “지금 경북도립대학교는 변화의 시작점에 있는 가장 중요한 시기이다”라며 “저를 포함한 교수, 직원 등 대학 구성원들이 합심하여 대학의 혁신과 역량 강화를 위해 최선을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
