3일 선린대학교에 따르면 학교법인 인산교육재단은 지난 3월 13일 이사회를 열어 총장선임인사위원회가 추천한 곽진환 교수를 총장으로 선임했다.

곽진환 신임 총장은 대구 계성고등학교, 서울대학교 약대를 졸업하고, 서울대학교 대학원 약학석사, 약학박사 학위를 받았으며, 한동대학교 학생처장, 교무처장, 학사부총장 등을 역임한 뒤, 한동대학교 교수로 재임중이었다.

곽진환 총장은 취임사에서“좋은 이웃을 뜻하는 선린이라는 이름에 걸맞게 지역 사회에 좋은 이웃이 되어서 포항시와 함께 발전하는 대학, 학생 중심의 대학, 수요자 중심의 대학, 학생을 귀하게 여기는 대학, 글로벌화되는 시대에 발맞춰, 국제 교류 프로그램을 강화는 대학, 구성원의 화합을 통해 서로를 존중하는 대학으로 만들겠다. ” 고 포부를 밝혔다.
