선린대에 따르면 이날 간담회는 장애학생들의 학교생활에 대한 고충을 청취하고 건의사항을 듣는 자리이자 교육지원인력의 활동을 격려하는 뜻깊은 자리였다.

2011년 장애학생지원센터가 개소된 이래 2012년부터 매년 총장과의 간담회를 실시하여 장애학생과 교육지원인력의 목소리에 귀를 기울이는 장을 마련하고 있다.

특히, 선린대는 장애학생 장학금 제도, 장애학생을 위한 시설 확충, 학습 지원 서비스(특별학습코칭프로그램 등), 진로-취업 지원 서비스, 보조공학기기 대여 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

곽진환 총장은 “장애학생들의 행복한 대학생활이 되도록 물심양면으로 지원하겠다.”고 격려했다.
